"4x0.2ss" is a new project designed to introduce made-in Japan dance music to the world. The first project kicks things of with four dusty cuts from various Japanese house producers.
RGL (aka rigly chang), the founder of this project and also a member of Tokyo-based collective/podcast 'cosmopolyphonic', starts off the compilation with nostalgic, latin sampled lo-fi house on “coco”.
Next up is the head-in-the clouds new agey sound of “somewhere” by DJ Pigeon, perfect for late night cruisin'.
Pepin, who’s known for his contribution to Jazzy Sport compilations, provides a smooth balearic track with a warm funky touch on “Far Cry”.
And last up a deliciously percussive closer “after the carnival” by kxta, bringing warmth and wrapping up a look into the Japanese house scene.
